You’ve heard of the 4 c’s. And you may be familiar with GIA terminology for diamond color and clarity...D,E,F etc, VS1, VS2, SI, etc. (If not, there are many places to learn all this stuff, and the Gemological Institute of America website is a good place to start). These are all useful, but letters and numbers can’t replace words when we try describe a diamond’s appearance...what it actually LOOKS like. Photos are helpful, but very inconsistent at capturing diamond color and clarity. So, In addition to photos and standardized letter and number grades, I try to provide descriptions using words that people can relate to and that will give them a real idea of a diamond’s actual appearance. This is not as easy as it might seem. Words like “Faint”, “slightly”, “very” mean different things to different people. And of course people see things differently. But these are the tools we have, and we have to do our best. And if there’s anything I can do to help you better understand an item, it is my pleasure. Oh, and I also provide a consumer friendly return policy, so if something isn’t quite what you expected, or you just don’t love it, you are very welcome to return it. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
