Exceptional and Classic antique Edwardian STYLE platinum and 18kt yellow gold earring mountings. They are an identical recreation of a pair of original Antique Edwardian period earrings from my own collection. Each earring will fit a round stone of approximately 6.5 mm in diameter. The drop length is approximately 3/4 of an inch, and the diameter of the baskets is 9.5 mm. The baskets will drop just below the earlobe or perhaps very slightly on the earlobe depending on the location of the piercing. The closure type is latch back. They weigh 3.8 pennyweights. These earrings are exceptionally well made and true to the original in every detail, although of course, they are in new unworn condition. Having the back elements made of 18kt yellow gold and the front-facing basket is a classic traditional Edwardian period technique. Even the tiny pin that attaches the parts of the 18kt gold hinge parts are made of platinum even though such a small but elegant detail is likely to be unnoticed...a hallmark of excellence in jewelry making.
