Upcycled Antique 1.01 carat ALL NATURAL old European cut diamond, platinum, and 18kt yellow gold engagement ring with a GIA report, aka certified. The finger size is 6 and it can be sized. Please contact me for information about sizing.
The Antique diamond is graded by the GIA as Natural Fancy Brownish-Greenish-Yellow color ( AKA Champagne ), and VS2 clarity. It is set in a NEW custom-made Edwardian antique STYLE platinum and 18kt yellow gold engagement ring setting.
This ring is truly one-of-a-kind with an artful combination of complimenting diamond and metal colors. The Champagne color description has never been more fittingly applied to a diamond.
The "Poor" symmetry assigned by the GIA report is indicative of the early period (1800s) in which the diamond was cut. This diamond is in all respects a beautiful lively diamond with a unique natural color..

Item Description Details:
Antique all-natural old European cut center diamond weighing 1.01 carat.
The diamond comes with a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report. The GIA report number is 2165141732. The GIA report can be viewed and downloaded from the GIA website at https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=2165141732 . You will receive the original GIA report with your purchase of the ring.
The GIA report grades the diamond as natural fancy brownish-greenish yellow color. This color is typically referred to as champagne.
The GIA report grades the clarity as VS2, indicating that the diamond is very slightly included and eye-clean.
GIA terms the cutting style as Old European cut.

The diamond is bezel set in 900 platinum. The shank of the ring is 18kt yellow gold.

A GIA report is typically referred to as a “certificate” or “GIA certified”.
The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) was established in 1931 and is considered by many to be the foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones, and pearls. You can learn more about the GIA at https://www.gia.edu/gia-about .
An old European cut diamond has the same defining features of a round brilliant cut, but has some proportions that differ in degree from those common to modern cut round brilliant diamonds.
The symmetry of an old European cut is typically irregular compared to the round brilliant cuts of today. The cut is also referred to as an early, antique, or vintage round brilliant cut.
The setting of this ring is a new custom-made replica of a fine antique Edwardian period setting. The metals test as 900 platinum and 18 karat gold.
